What is Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warning to California consumers about products that contain chemicals above certain threshold levels that cause cancer, birth defect or other reproductive harm.
Proposition 65 notice for wood products is as follows: WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products generates wood dust, a substance known to the State of Californian to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection.
